The Taj Mahal is the most renowned landmark in India and arguably one of the most beautiful architectural marvels in the world. Departing from your hotel in Delhi, we will first visit Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site, before heading to the Taj Mahal.
Built in 1573, Agra Fort served as the residence of the emperors of the Mughal Empire for 65 years. The fort's walls are made from red sandstone, which dazzles in the sunlight, giving the fort a stunning appearance.
After enjoying lunch at a local restaurant, we will visit the final destination of the day—the Taj Mahal. Your tour guide will share the love story behind its construction. You will have the opportunity to admire the intricate interior of the tomb, designed by a Turkish architect in 1631. The palaces and gardens will allow you to feel the depth of Emperor Shah Jahan's love for his queen.
After the tour, you will be accompanied back to your hotel in Delhi.
