1. Pick-up: Make your way to the meeting point at PAYAP UNIVERSITY PIH Student Dormitory (PIH), Q2WR+R5J, Tambon Nong Pa Khrang, San Kamphaeng District, Chiang Mai 50130, Thailand. Present your e-ticket to hop on the shuttle to the venue. Shuttles operate every 10 minutes from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm, with the last shuttle departing at 6:30 pm.
Please arrive at the pick-up point at least 10 minutes before departure time. The ride takes around 50 minutes.
2. Location of CAD venue: The CAD Cultural Center Lanna, 35 Tambon Ban Sa Ha Khon, Mae On District, Chiang Mai 50130, Thailand.
3. Dining: Enjoy a traditional Thai Lanna buffet dinner with delectable vegetarian choices for our vegetarian guests.

We will send you a link to the official e-ticket via email once your booking has been confirmed.
The link will contain your name, the type of seat you have booked, the date, a QR code, meeting and pick-up addresses, the address of the New Year Countdown venue, event timings, and other important information.
Please download the ticket to your mobile phone in case you are unable to open it due to a poor signal at the venue.
We provide transportation from the meeting point to the venue.
Meeting Point: PAYAP UNIVERSITY PIH Student Dormitory, Q2WR+R5J, Tambon Nong Pa Khrang, San Kamphaeng District, Chiang Mai 50130, Thailand. To ensure you reach the correct meeting point, access the Google Maps link provided in your e-ticket to avoid any navigation errors.
Meeting time: The bus will depart between 5:00 PM and 6:30 PM, with a 10-minute interval between departures. To prevent missing the bus, we suggest arriving early at the meeting point to get your ticket verified and await the bus departure.
Boarding the bus: Please present your electronic ticket with a QR code for verification upon boarding. Once verified, you can line up and board the bus. The shuttle buses are divided according to ticket classes—Elite, Premium, and VIP ticket holders.
Upon arrival at the venue: When you arrive at the CAD venue, you can exchange your electronic ticket for a paper ticket, badge, and souvenirs.
Return: MAYA Shopping Mall or Chiang Mai Night Bazaar. Go to the parking lot after the ceremony and take a vehicle back to Chiang Mai city with the same type of bus as on the way in.
The Chiang Mai CAD New Year Countdown 2026 will take place on 31 December 2025 at the Lanna Cultural Centre. Running from 18:00 to 00:25 the next day, the highlight of the event is the countdown, sky lantern release, and fireworks display, which will take place at around midnight.

Yes. When registering at the venue’s main entrance (between 18:00 - 19:00), show your e-ticket to register. You can also exchange it for a paper ticket badge and souvenirs.
Although the New Year Countdown Ceremony doesn’t have a strict formal dress code, there are cultural norms and practical tips that can enhance your experience and show respect. Here’s a suggestion of what to wear and what to consider.

Shuttles run at fixed times, and there are no extra trips arranged for missed buses. It is advised to arrive at the meeting point 30 minutes early to avoid missing your ride.
Even though the ritual is very meaningful, it’s important to put fire safety and protecting the environment first. Many festivals now use eco-friendly lanterns and have people there to watch over the launches to keep risks low.

Premium, VIP, and Standard ticket holders can all release sky lanterns, and the activity is held from 23:45 to 23:59 ahead of the countdown. Each person will get 2 sky lanterns, which are placed under their seats. Do not bring your own sky lanterns.
