Types of Tickets

The Mount Siguniang Scenic Area consists of three main valleys open to visitors: Shuangqiao Valley, Changping Valley, and Haizi Valley. Each valley offers its own unique landscapes and experiences, and a separate admission ticket is required for each one. Please check out their differences below, and choose the ticket that best matches the valley you wish to explore.

Sightseeing Route for Shuangqiao Valley

The sightseeing bus first takes visitors to Red Cedar Forest, the deepest point and the highest accessible area in Shuangqiao Valley at an altitude of 3,840 meters (12,598 feet). From there, the bus travels back toward the entrance, stopping at the valley's major attractions along the way, including Potala Peak, Lake Siguniang, Nianyu Dam, and Longzhu Lake.

The bus follows a fixed route and stops at each attraction, allowing passengers to get off for sightseeing before boarding the next bus. Since the route and stops are predetermined, there is very little flexibility to customize your itinerary.

Recommended Sightseeing Routes for Changping Valley

The sightseeing bus takes visitors to Lama Temple, the starting point of the sightseeing route in Changping Valley. Beyond this point, visitors can explore the valley only by hiking or horseback riding.

Leisure Route: Lama Temple → Chongchongjiao Waterfall → Kushu Beach → Return

This easy hiking route covers approximately 7 kilometers and takes around 4 hours to complete. Visitors follow well-maintained wooden boardwalks through the valley, enjoying peaceful forests, streams, and mountain scenery along the way.

Kushu Beach is the highlight of this route and offers one of the best viewpoints for admiring the magnificent snow-capped peaks of Mount Siguniang. It is an ideal choice for visitors who want to experience the beauty of Changping Valley without a strenuous hike.

Hiking Ethusiasts' Route: Leisure Route → Upper and Down Dried Lakes → Red Stone Beach → Muluozi Grassland → Return

Designed for experienced hikers, this route extends the leisure route into the deeper areas of Changping Valley. Covering approximately 22 kilometers, it takes around 7 hours to complete.

After finishing the leisure section, visitors will continue along natural mountain trails with fewer facilities and more challenging terrain. The highlight of the route is Muluozi Grassland, where hikers can enjoy a breathtaking 360-degree panoramic view of the main peaks of Mount Siguniang.

Recommended Sightseeing Routes for Haizi Valley

Haizi Valley is considered the most pristine and least developed valley in the Mount Siguniang Scenic Area. Unlike Shuangqiao Valley and Changping Valley, there are no sightseeing buses and no continuous wooden boardwalks inside the valley. However, its untouched natural beauty and spectacular mountain scenery make it a favorite among hikers and nature lovers.

Leisure Route: Zhaijie Terrace → Guozhuang Terrace → Chaoshan Terrace → Return

This relatively easy hiking route covers approximately 7 kilometers and takes around 4 hours to complete. The three terraces along the route are excellent viewpoints for admiring Mount Siguniang’s magnificent peaks. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the snow-capped mountains, making this route a great option for travelers who want to experience the valley's stunning scenery without a challenging trek.

Hiking Ethusiasts' Route: Leisure Route → Dajianbao → Camp Laoniuyuanzi → Dalazi Lake → Huahaizi Lake → Return

This is the most challenging hiking route in Haizi Valley and is recommended only for visitors with good physical fitness and hiking experience. The route covers approximately 28 kilometers, reaching a maximum altitude of 4,000 meters (13,123 feet).

The route's highlights include vast alpine grasslands, crystal-clear glacial lakes, and breathtaking views of the surrounding snow-capped peaks. Dahaizi Lake and Huahaizi Lake are among the most scenic spots in the valley, offering a true wilderness experience.

The hike takes around 10 hours to complete. There are no shops, restaurants, or other facilities along the route, so visitors should bring enough food, drinking water, and other essential supplies before setting out.

• Your QR codes will be sent by email after booking confirmation.

• Please present your passport at the ticket window to collect your paper ticket.

Cancellation Policy

• Free cancellation is available before the tickets are booked.
• Once the tickets are booked, the service fee will not be refunded.
• A refund of 85% of the ticket price will be issued for cancellations made more than 24 hours before departure.
• No cancellations are allowed within 24 hours of the departure time.

Price Includes

• Admission ticket and service fee.
• Sightseeing bus transportation for Shuangqiao Valley and Changping Valley tickets. (Haizi Valley does not provide a sightseeing bus.)
• The ticket price is the same for adults and children.

Good to Know

• Horse Riding - This service is available, but it is not included in the ticket price and must be arranged and paid for separately by visitors.
• Last sightseeing bus - For Changping and Shuangqiao Valleys, the last bus to the exit departs at 17:30 from April 1 to November 31. And 17:00 from December 1 to March 31.
• Stay Within the Designated Tourist Areas - Please follow the instructions of the park staff and remain within the designated tourist areas. Entering closed or restricted areas is prohibited for your safety.
• Do Not Approach or Feed Wild Animals - Wild animals may appear friendly, but they can be unpredictable and dangerous. Please keep a safe distance and do not feed or disturb them.
• Do Not Bring Fire Starters - To protect the fragile mountain environment, lighters, matches, and other fire-starting devices are strictly prohibited. The area's forests and grasslands are highly susceptible to fire.
• Check Your Health Before Visiting -Most of the scenic area is located at an altitude of over 3,000 meters (9,843 feet). If you have heart disease, high blood pressure, respiratory conditions, or other health concerns, consult your doctor before visiting. Be aware of the possibility of altitude sickness and avoid strenuous activities if you feel unwell.
