Opened in 2011, the Guangzhou – Shenzhen High-Speed Railway is the most popular and most traveled rail line in China. There are more than 190 pairs of G, D and C-category trains in service on this rail route, with the travel time of about 29 minutes to 1.5 hours. Now, this rail route has extended to Hong Kong.
Different types of trains operate at different train stations in Guangzhou and Shenzhen. G trains operate at Guangzhou South Railway Station and Shenzhen North / Futian railway stations. C trains operate at Guangzhou East Railway Station and Shenzhen Railway Station. D trains operate at Guangzhou Railway Station and Shenzhen Railway Station.

G-category trains on Guangzhou – Shenzhen rail route provide three types of seat classes: second class seat, first class seat and business class seat. C and D-category trains between Guangzhou and Shenzhen offer second class and first class seats.
Second Class seats are the standard type and the cheapest on high-speed trains. They are the most common type on G, D, and C trains. A Second Class coach has five seats per row: two seats on one side of the aisle and three on the other. The configuration is A+B+C and D+F. Seats A and F are window seats.
First Class carriages provide more comfort and privacy than Second Class. A First Class seat is wider than a Second Class seat. First Class seats are arranged in rows lettered A+C and D+F, offering more leg room and elbow room. Moreover, automatic doors separate the coaches to keep them quiet and private.
Business Class seats are available on most G-category trains and some D- and C-category trains. This is the most luxurious and expensive class on high-speed trains. There are three seats in a row: two seats on one side and one on the other side of the aisle (coded A+C and F). As for First Class, there are automatic doors to keep the coaches quiet and private.
1. From Guangzhou to Shenzhen or from Shenzhen to Guangzhou, different types of trains have different terminuses in both cities. Choose the train station that is close to your hotel will be more convenient.
2. The travel time varies according to different types of trains. G trains is the fastest with the shortest travel time. C and D trains spend more than 1 hour to travel between these two cities.
3. Ticket fares on G trains are the highest. Whiles on C and D trains, ticket fares are cheaper.
The Pazhou Complex is situated on Pazhou Island in the Haizhu District of Guangzhou. With a total area of about 1.1 million square meters, it is divided into several exhibition halls, including the Main Exhibition Hall and the International Exhibition Hall. It is one of the largest exhibition centers in Asia and is famous for hosting the Canton Fair, also known as the China Import and Export Fair.
To get to Pazhou Complex from Guangzhou South Station, you have several transportation options:
By Metro
1. Exit Guangzhou South Station and head to the nearby Guangzhou South Railway Metro Station.
2. Take Line 2 (Guangzhou South - Jiahewanggang direction) and ride for approximately 7 stations.
3. Get off at Changgang Station and transfer to Line 8 (Changgang - Wanshengwei direction).
4. Ride Line 8 for about 5 stations and alight at Pazhou Station.
Please note: Pazhou Complex has two main entrances (East and West entrance). Check the specific entrance you need to reach before exiting the metro station.
By Taxi
1. Exit Guangzhou South Station and find a taxi stand or use a ride-hailing app like DiDi or Uber.
2. Inform the driver that you want to go to Pazhou Complex (specifically mention the East or West entrance based on your destination).

By Metro
1. Take Line 3 (Airport North - Panyu Square direction) and ride for approximately 10 stations.
2. Get off at Kecun Station and transfer to Line 8 (Wanshengwei - Fenghuang Xincun direction).
3. Ride Line 8 for about 4 stations and alight at Pazhou Station.
