On October 6th, 2023, during the China National Day holiday, a significant day following the nation's recovery from Covid-19, Guangzhou South Railway Station witnessed a remarkable influx of travelers. By taxi, it takes about 40 minutes from Guangzhou Railway Station or 1 hour from Baiyun International Airport. Taxis stop at east side of the station on 2F.
Guangzhou South Railway Station is organized into four levels, comprising three above ground and one underground.

2F (Second Floor): On the second floor, you'll find the train platforms. This is the level where you can easily transfer between different trains, making your journey more accessible.

Guangzhou Railway Station is one of the most important transportation hubs in China. It is located in downtown area, about 23 kilometers (14 miles) from Guangzhou South Railway Station and 30 kilometers (19 miles) from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport.
Guangzhou Railway Station mainly operates normal-speed trains to Beijing, Shanghai, Xi’an, Changsha, Chengdu, Chongqing, Hangzhou, Kunming, Lanzhou, Lhasa and Zhangjiajie, etc. It also serves some of high-speed trains from Guangzhou to Shenzhen and vice versa.
You can take subway line 2 or 5 to Guangzhou Railway Station. If you by subway, you will get off at the southwest of the station. By taxi, it takes about 20 minutes from Guangzhou East Railway Station, 35 minutes from Guangzhou South Railway Station or 30 mintues from Baiyun International Airport. Taxis stop at east side of the station.
There are two floors on Guangzhou Railway Station. The second floor has waiting rooms, stores, toilets, hot water. The frist floor has ticket office, waiting rooms, left-luggage office, toilets, nursing room, hot water, inquiry, transfer hall.
Located in the bustling area of Tianhe District, Guangzhou East Railway Station is about 10 kilometers (6 miles) from Beijing Road, 26 kilometers (16 miles) from the South Railway Station and 38 kilometers (24 miles) from Baiyun International Airport.
Guangzhou East Railway Station mainly serves normal-speed trains to Beijing, Shanghai, Changsha, Tianjin, Harbin, Xiamen, Shantou and Meizhou. Some of high-speed trains to Shenzhen also depart from Guangzhou East. In addition, Guangzhou East Railway Station is also the terminal station for the Guangzhou – Hong Kong through trains.
You can take subway line 1 or 3 to Guangzhou East Railway Station. If you go there by subway. The 4F has waiting hall, ticket office, waiting room. The 3F has ticket office, waiting room, waiting hall. The 2F has ticket office for long distance depatures and dispertion hall. The 1F has ticket office, waiting room, left-luggage office, rail tracks and platforms.
